Manage Map Template
Datascape allows users to update the details of their map templates after creation, including the name and description. This ensures templates remain relevant and organized as projects evolve. The Manage Template feature makes it easy to edit and save these updates directly within the platform.
Step 1: Navigate to Map Templates
Open the Sidebar:
Navigate to the Map Templates section in the Datascape sidebar.
Locate the Template:
Find the map template you want to manage from the list of available templates.
Step 2: Open the Manage Template Menu
Hover Over the Map Template Card:
Move your cursor over the card of the map template you wish to edit.
A More Options (three dots) icon will appear in the top-right corner of the card.
Click the More Icon:
Click the More Options icon to reveal a dropdown menu.
Select “Manage”:
In the dropdown menu, click the Manage option to open the Manage Template screen.
Step 3: Edit Template Details
Update the Name:
In the Name field, enter a new name for the template if needed.
Choose a name that accurately reflects the template’s purpose.
Edit the Description (Optional):
Use the Description field to add or update a brief summary of the template.
Descriptions help team members understand the template’s use case or contents.
Step 4: Save Changes
Review Your Updates:
Double-check the new name and description to ensure accuracy.
Click Save:
Once satisfied with the changes, click the Save button to update the template.
Your updates will be applied immediately and visible on the map template card.
