# Create Organization

As part of setting up your Datalab account, you’ll need to create an organization within BigGeo Studio. This organization will serve as the primary workspace for you and your team, allowing you to manage product spaces and control access within Datalab and other BigGeo Studio features.

## **Define Your Organization’s Name**

* Choose a unique name for your organization. This name will be visible across BigGeo Studio and should represent your team or company accurately.

* The organization name must be unique within BigGeo Studio, so select a name that best represents your brand or team. If the name is already taken, you’ll be prompted to try a different one.

## **Set Up Organization Details**

Once you’ve defined your organization’s name, you’ll move on to providing additional details. This information customizes your organization’s profile and helps align your workspace with your team’s needs.

* **Industry**: Select the industry that best fits your organization.
* **Country**: Specify the country where your organization is based.

* **Phone Number**: Provide a contact number for your organization, which can assist with team communication and support needs.
* **Website**: Include a link to your organization’s website for additional reference.
* **Description**: Add a short description of your organization to give team members and collaborators context about your organization’s purpose or focus.

## **Confirm and Complete Organization Setup**

After entering all required and optional information, you’re ready to finalize the organization setup.

* Double-check all provided information to ensure accuracy, as this forms the foundation of your workspace within BigGeo Studio.

* Click **Confirm** to complete the organization setup process. This will link your personal account to the newly created organization and direct you to the BigGeo Studio dashboard, where you can begin exploring Datalab and other product spaces.

## **Create Your Datalab Space**

With your organization created, you’re now ready to start configuring your Datalab space  to upload datasets, create marketplace listings, and manage team access.

* Choose a name for your Datalab space that reflects its purpose or content.

**Add a Description** (Optional):

* Provide a brief description of the space to give your team context.

* Finalize the setup by saving your space details. Once completed, you’ll be directed to your new Datalab space dashboard.

## Key Information

* **Unified Management**:\
  The organization you create here will also be available in BigGeo Studio, enabling you to manage settings across all BigGeo products.
* **Editable Details**:\
  You can update your organization’s name, industry, and other details later via the **Settings** page in Datascape or BigGeo Studio.

> **Note:** Organization creation is a required step during onboarding and ensures all product spaces and team members are linked to a centralized entity.
