Manage Datalab Space

After creating a Datalab space, you can manage and edit its details anytime. Use the Manage Space function to update the space’s name, description, image, team members, and permissions, ensuring that your space remains aligned with your organization’s needs.

Access the Datalab Space Management Screen

Navigate to the Sidebar: In BigGeo Studio, go to the sidebar where each BigGeo product has its own section.

Select Datalab: Click on the Datalab section to view all of your existing Datalab spaces.

Hover Over the Space Card: Find the space you want to manage and hover over its card.

Open the More Menu: A menu button (usually represented by three dots) will appear on the space card. Click this button.

Select "Manage": In the dropdown options, choose Manage to open the space management screen.

Edit Space Details

On the manage page, you can update the core details for your Datalab space:

Name: Edit the space name to reflect its current purpose or team more accurately.

Description: Modify the description to provide an updated overview of the space's use case.

Manage Teams and Members Access

Customize access for team members within your Datalab space:

Select Team Members for Access:

• Under the Teams & Members Access section, you’ll see a list of team members with their associated roles.

Adjust Permissions:

• Admin: Full access to all features, including creating, editing, and publishing datasets, as well as managing team access and permissions.

• Standard: Can view and monitor datasets but cannot create, edit, or publish datasets.

Assign or Update Permissions:

• To change a user’s role, check the box next to the member’s name and select either Admin or Standard as appropriate.

Note: You must check each member’s box before setting or changing their permissions.

Save Changes

Once all edits are complete:

Review Changes: Double-check that the updated name, description, image, team access, and permissions are accurate.

Save Updates: Click Save (or similar confirmation button) to apply your changes and ensure your Datalab space reflects the latest settings.

Navigating Back to Datalab Space

After saving, you can either return to the Datalab space list or navigate directly into the updated Datalab space for immediate use.
