# Studio Permissions

Permissions in BigGeo Studio allow administrators to control and customize access levels for each user within specific areas of the platform. By setting area-based permissions, Admins can ensure that team members have the appropriate level of access in product spaces and management sections. Each area in BigGeo Studio offers two main roles—**Admin** and **Standard**—with specific actions that each role can perform. This structure enables flexible, fine-grained access control across the platform.

The permissions system in BigGeo Studio provides administrators with fine-grained control over user access across all areas of the platform. By customizing permissions for each product space and management section, you can ensure that team members have the right access level for their roles. This structure helps safeguard data, maintain organized workflows, and empower team members to collaborate effectively within their designated areas

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://biggeo.gitbook.io/biggeo/biggeo-studio/permissions/studio-permissions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
