# Connect BigGeo AI with Claude

BigGeo AI connects to Claude as a custom connector. The setup takes a few minutes and only needs to be done once.

## Before You Start

Make sure the data variant you want to use has **BigGeo AI** activation enabled. See Overview for details.

## Setup

### **Open Claude Settings**

Navigate to **Settings → Connectors**.

### **Add a Custom Connector**

Click **"Add custom connector"**.

Fill in the following:

* **Name:** BigGeo MCP
* **MCP Server URL:** <https://mcp.biggeo.com/mcp>

Click **"Add"** to save.

### **Connect the Connector**

Click **"Connect"** next to the BigGeo MCP connector. This opens the OAuth authorization flow. You will be asked to authenticate with BigGeo and grant access permissions. Once complete, you will be returned to Claude.

### **Enable in Chat**

Start a new Claude chat. Click the **"+"** icon, select **Connectors**, and toggle on **BigGeo MCP**.

BigGeo AI is now active for that conversation.

## Configuring Tool Permissions

After setup, you can control how Claude uses BigGeo AI tools. Navigate to **Settings → Connectors → BigGeo MCP** to view and adjust tool permissions. This lets you choose which tools Claude is allowed to use and how.
